Leadership skills for governance

For three years from 2004 to 2007, AoC managed the leadership skills for Merton College 150
governance programme under contract to the Centre for Excellence in Leadership
(CEL).

This programme involved the following activities: 

  • training workshops (more than 100 so far with more than 1,500 participants)
     
  • consultancy services for corporations (about 40 in the first 30 months)
     
  • research 
     
  • policy forums and consultation events for the sector (e.g. regional dinners)
     
  • conferences (governors, clerks)
     
  • a Governance Helpline
     
  • qualifications for Clerks and Student Governors
