Governors' Council
The Governors' Council
Following the AoC strategic review, AoC’s board will be establishing a Governors' Council. The new AoC board structure will take effect in April 2008 with the Governors' Council playing a key part. Members of the Governors' Council will sit on the AoC board but the council will have a number of key roles:
- to speak on behalf of the AoC on governor related matters
- to develop the role of governing bodies in colleges, working with other national agencies
- to oversee the work that AoC carry out for governors
The Governor's Council will carry full authority to speak on its own behalf and its own authority on governor related matters.
