Association of Colleges

AoC has been working with the DfES on guidance to help colleges collaborate with schools. Section 166 of the Education and Inspections Act allows the governing bodies of colleges to collaborate formally with governing bodies of maintained schools through joint committees. This regulations under the Act come into force on 25th May 2007 and the guidance helps colleges and schools to implement them. The guidance explains the functions of collaborative committees and the manner in which these functions can be discharged.
