Alert: NQF qualifications that SFA propose will no longer be funded for 19+ students

AoC have secured lists of NQF qualifications that SFA propose will no longer be funded for 19+ via the Adult Learner Responsive and Train to Gain funding streams.

There are two cut off dates identified: 31 July 2010 and 31 December 2010. (These dates are the last enrolment dates for funded delivery.) We are already aware of a number of issues relating to some qualifications, but we are keen to identify any problems that Colleges may incur as a result of the transition, particularly relating to:

  • Variations in delivery hours
  • Significant differences between the NQF and QCF versions
  • No QCF versions currently available

SFA are prepared to consider any challenges raised and could extend NQF qualifications to reduce the potential negative impact, so we need Colleges to alert us of any issues as soon as possible. The timescale is tight as SFA have requested a response by the end of May 2010.
