Equality Act 2010: What does it mean for you?
Locations:
Birmingham -6 January 2011  |  London - 13 January 2011  |   Manchester - 19 January 2011

The Equality Bill received Royal Assent in April 2010, becoming the Equality Act 2010. The Act provides a new and strengthened foundation for equality and diversity in the public sector. Subject to commencement orders, there are new equality obligations such as a new duty to tackle socio-economic inequality, a new extended Public Sector Equality Duty, and new duties to publish workforce data. The Act will create significant challenges for education and training providers.

This one day seminar is brought to you jointly by the AoC and LSIS with contribution from the Equality and Human Rights Commission. They are designed to help you to understand what the Equality Act 2010 will mean for Colleges, and to be fully prepared for the Act now that it is in force.

Approach and benefits
These events are hands on, practical sessions that will help you to:

  • examine the processes your organisation has and will need to put in place to meet the new equality requirements
