Unions accept pay recommendation

The joint trade unions have confirmed today their acceptance of the AoC’s pay recommendation for 2008/09.
The recommendation is an increase of 3.2% on all salaries and allowances from 1 October 2008 or the sum of £550, whichever is the greater, in the form of underpinning for low paid staff.
This would equate to 2.66% cost in-year.
