Salary: £100,000 per annum

Based in South West Durham, Bishop Auckland College is a diverse and financially secure GFE College which serves over 9,000 learners and has an annual turnover of £15m. We have recently completed an extensive £40m rebuild of our two main campuses and, having achieved “Good” at our last Ofsted inspection in 2011, we are now committed to our journey to “Outstanding”.

Our staff, students and the communities we serve are at the heart of everything we do. We are an inclusive College, committed to attracting learners from a wide variety of backgrounds and catering for individuals through a broad and diverse curriculum. We are seeking to appoint a new Principal to provide inspirational leadership, build on the quality of our teaching and learning and ensure a dynamic future for the College.

You may be a current serving Principal or an aspiring leader seeking your first Principal post; either way you will need to share our passion for excellence of provision. You will offer strong strategic leadership, be passionate about learner success and committed to meeting the needs of our local community.  

With a sound knowledge of the FE sector, the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record of delivering impressive results and have the necessary knowledge and skills to manage stakeholder relations. You will be a resilient and determined individual with strong influencing skills who will ensure we are the College of choice for the communities we serve.
