Association of Colleges

Policy and advisory work

The Association of Colleges (AoC) was created in 1996 as the single voice to promote the interests of further education colleges in England and Wales.

AoC is first and foremost a membership organisation – created by colleges to act as their collective voice and to provide advice and help.

Our members depend upon us to:

  • ensure that their voice is heard
  • exercise influence with policy-makers
  • shape the environment in which their learners can flourish.

Colleges also rely on us to guide them through the complexities of legislation, to encourage professional debate, to disseminate good practice and to provide practical help in solving day to day problems.
