Association of Colleges

Governance

The Association of Colleges is the main representative organisation for college Governors.

AoC's board is chaired by a Chair of a college and the board contains a number of chairs elected nationally and regionally.

AoC offers a number of services to Governors:

 

• involvement of Chairs and key Governors in policy formulation
   
• representation of governing body interests to DIUS, DCSF and LSC
   
• advice to Governors on key legal issues, including those relating to employment
   
• administrative support for the National Clerks' Network
