This page aims to provide members with general news stories that impact on their life at work and the jobs they do. Hopefully this page/section will also address the softer more informal aspects of estates and facilities management in the FE sector. 

Firstly it is our intention to try and host one event per month which will be an informal networking event, bringing together Colleges and those from the FM industry that are or would like to do more business with our sector. We held a taster session at the London showrooms of Herman Miller in April and it proved to be very successful for the few that turned up. We need to do some research as to the best times and locations for such events but in the meantime,  we are working on a few more events throughout the country to see just what takeup of these events we can expect to get.

Secondly it has been suggested that we hold a series of regional golf tournaments and then a national final. There are a number of Colleges/Companies/Government Agencies/Regional reps who have expressed an interest. It has been suggested that in these difficult economic times we can not expect to play for free and so all players will be asked to make a contribution to their rounds - we might get some sponsorship for lunch/prizes etc we shall see. If you are interested, then please contact Martin Pritchett.
