JISC mail

The National Academic Mailing List Service, known as 'JISCMail', is a service designed specifically for the further and higher education and research communities and is one of a number of services provided by JISC Advance therefore making it the foremost strategic collaboration tool within the academic community.

JISCMail uses the world wide web and e-mail to enable groups of academics and support staff to talk to each other and to share information.

The AoC Estates Network Manager is the administrator for the national jiscmail group and various sub-regional groups, catering for the needs of those in the FE sector with responsibilities for the management of estates, facilities, assets and resources.

There are currently over 420 members of that group. Each College can have as many group members as they wish. To join a group a person from an FE College must request their inclusion in a particular group. To make that request either go on line to the main jiscmail website or email the AoC Estates Network Manager  and indicate who you are, which College you are from, what your e mail address is and which jicsmail group you wish to join. Membership is usually restricted to those institutions with an ac.uk domain although, at the descretion of the group administrator, members from sector wide organisations can also be permitted to join - commercial concerns are not allowed to join a jiscmail group.Your current choices are :-
