Technology Portfolio Group

 

Light DesignThe Technology Portfolio Group: argues for the the strategic importance of technology in delivering learning; interprets, and provides analysis on, Government policy and developments in technology and provides leadership and strategic guidance to College management teams.

The remit of the group is to:

  • Engage with Chief Executives, Governors and Principals on policy issues to maximise the benefits of technology, the better to provide strategic guidance and leadership as it relates to the deployment of technology within Colleges;
  • Consider the emerging trends in technology and how these might best be applied within Colleges;
  • Run expert discussions to identify priorities and to convene workshops and seminars that focus on the effective use of technology in all areas of College activity;
  • Promote effective good practice from within Colleges, and from external organisations, on how to make best use of technology to deliver learning;
  • Develop an ethos of challenge and support which enables Colleges to work together in order to further the adoption of technology.

Membership of the Technology Portfolio Group is restricted to serving College Principals and Vice Principals and reports to the AoC Main Board.

Appropriate additional AoC Officers or College representatives may be requested to attend meetings for the purpose of contributing specific agenda items.The group will identify external representatives from government and executive agencies who may contribute to the activity of the Group.
