Communications

AoC Technology produces two briefings each month that provide updates on issues or feature authored content on specific subjects. The briefings focus on recent AoC Technology activity, developments in the College sector, new resources available to staff and students and events of interest to teachers, students and managers.

AoC Technology runs a series of events throughout the year at which high level speakers address key issues of relevance to Colleges.Colleagues are invited to participate in workshops and debates about education and technology policy and its implementation. Research & Lobbying

AoC Technology undertakes independent research which it uses to lobby on their behalf with the relevant government department or agency. AoC Technology disseminates its research through the communications programme and its Library & Archive section.

Representation & Consultation

AoC Technology participates in, and represents Colleges on, a wide range of policy and strategy groups. The AoC Technology team works with the Technology Portfolio Group to provide expert analysis and advocacy in order to best represent the interest of Colleges at national and regional level. National and Regional Groups

Working with and through the AoC Regional structure, AoC Technology keeps informed of activities and issues affecting each of the nine English regions and co-ordinates its regional activity by working closely with AoC Regional Directors. AoC Technology has 3 National Groups and the AoC Technology Portfolio Group.

Each of the 3 National groups has eighteen representatives drawn from the English regions who work with the AoC Regions to coordinate regional networks so as to facilitate better communication and activity between national and regional offices.
