AoC NILTA Conferences 2009

AoC NILTA will hold a suite of linked conferences for 2009 that will will address technology issues raised by educational reforms. There will be 2 regional events, in Manchester and London, which will examine the ways in which government and agency technology policies might best be translated into successful practice in colleges. These events will be followed up by a Principals’ summit held in London that will draw together the major themes developed by participants in the policy into practice events in order to develop strategic options for colleges.

The aim of the events will be to explore the ILT capability of colleges and how that capability will meet the requirements of implementing the delivery of Diplomas, Framework for Excellence, Self Regulation, QCF and the Harnessing Technology agenda. The focus will be on the key issues of integration and interoperability within colleges and between institutions, e.g. schools, consortia and Local Authorities.

AoC NILTA will also host its well established CIS Conference in June which will continue to focus on the specific concerns of CIS and MIS managers and the impact of education policy on the management, collection and dissemination of data.

The complimentary programme of conferences will deliver practical workshops at which colleagues and experts will explore shared experience in order to formulate answers to the very real issues current in the college sector.
