Candidate attraction

The first step in any recruitment process is to attract the right candidates. This is critical, as without the right candidates any subsequent assessment process is futile. We work with you from the beginning to define what is important to you in a candidate and target our search accordingly. We use our vast experience and sector knowledge to select the right publication, design the right advert and place it in the right medium for maximum impact.

Assessment centre design & management

To be effective, we believe it is vital to minimise time-wasting and maximise value.  We save you time and effort through harnessing the latest technology and offering 'pre-selection day testing', so that we arrive on the assessment day already armed with the results from the personality questionnaire and tests.  Although the interview is vital, it only provides part of the picture.  Competencies such as communication skills, the ability to think strategically, political savvy and financial acumen also require rigorous testing in order to build a complete picture of the true capabilities of each candidate.  Assessment centres assist the process by giving candidates experience of a microcosm of the job while testing them on work-related activities both as individuals, and in groups.

The AoC recruitment team have unparalleled experience of recruiting at senior level. We have delivered our recruitment service to numerous Further Education Colleges across the UK. The dedicated and experienced team is led by our Head of Executive Resourcing, Jo Johnston.  

Jo Johnston - Head of Executive Recruitment
With over 10 years proven track record and expertise within the area of executive recruitment across both the commercial and not for profit sectors Jo has experience of selection at all levels. She has an excellent knowledge of running high end search and selection campaigns across a number of disciplines, and is experienced in running both advertised and executive search assignments.
 
Harpreet Jossan - Recruitment Manager
Critical to any campaign is a strong recruitment manager able to ensure all aspects of campaign management and administration are delivered to the highest standards. Harpreet will ensure that all the materials are of excellent quality with a focus on key deliverables, and will be available throughout the campaign to offer the highest levels of client liaison, candidate liaison and campaign management. Harpreet is a licentiate member of the CIPD.

Craig JamesInterim Resourcing Manager
Craig is responsible for managing our interim resourcing division and has over 10 years experience of providing executive interim solutions to organisations across the public, not-for-profit and commercial sectors. Craig has access to an extensive network of high-calibre FE professionals and can support your College with the appointment of interim Principals, Executives and Senior Managers. Craig is qualified in the use of psychometric testing.

Mary CumminsInterim and Resourcing Executive
Mary is an experienced Recruitment Executive who provides comprehensive support to all recruitment campaigns. Mary is responsible for developing and coordinating the timeline and logistics of the campaign, will ensure that all the materials are of excellent quality and will be available throughout the process to offer the client and candidates her full support. Mary has worked in the employment field for AoC and has a Masters in Personnel and Development coupled with CIPD qualification.

 

Natalie Gee Executive Resourcing Coordinator
Natalie is an experienced Recruitment Coordinator providing full coordination and administrative support to the Executive Recruitment team. She will be available throughout the process to offer the client and candidate support. Natalie has worked in a variety of Recruitment support roles in London and Australia across the public, not-for-profit and commercial sectors.
