Legislation now outlaws discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation in employment and the delivery of good and services. What does this mean in practice for colleges? How does inequality on grounds of sexual orientation manifest itself? Recent sector research has shown high levels of homophobic bullying and harassment of lesbian, gay and bisexual (LGB) learners and staff. What do colleges need to do to ensure legal compliance, and to move beyond compliance towards excellence? This workshop will look at sector best practice and develop approaches to creating the LBG friendly college.
